The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the world’s leading applied research organization. Around 30 800 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.0 billion euros.
Future. Discover. Together.
The backend of the Fraunhofer HHI is part of the technology department with 8 scientists and around 40 technologists. We process sophisticated optoelectronic InP, SiNx, LNoI-based components in 3" and 46" technology. Development projects and small series for optoelectronic data transmission and sensor technology are carried out using state-of-the-art processes (e.g. sputter coating systems, fully and semi-automatic scriber & breaker and facet coating systems). The Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute is a world leader in the development of photonic integrated circuits (PICs). About every second bit transmitted on the Internet touches a PIC from the HHI. Be a part of our team and come on a journey of research and innovation!
