To strengthen the team at our headquarters in Planegg-Martinsried near Munich, we are looking for a Product Manager (m/f/d) for Optical Frequency Combs with industrial applications:

Since its establishment more than 20 years ago, Menlo Systems GmbH remains one of the global market leaders in the field of optical precision metrology with light and lasers. Based on Nobel Prize-winning frequency comb technology, we provide laser systems for our customers worldwide that enable applications with the highest precision and accuracy. Our systems are used in metrology and spectroscopy, in optical clocks, in quantum technology and quantum computers, as well as in materials testing and 3D printing. Ihr Aufgabengebiet:

• You will be responsible for our optical frequency combs with focus on industrial applications. Menlo Systems is the pioneer and the leading developer and global supplier of the Nobel Prize winning optical frequency comb technology. You will be part of this team and support the success of our frequency comb products.
• You will be responsible for the entire product life cycle (incl. budget, revenue, profit, etc.) of these specific products.
• You develop and maintain the product roadmap
• You occupy a unique position at the interface between customers and various internal departments, and manage inter-departmental communication
• You lead the conception and definition of new products and oversee their development, from idea to product release
• You conduct competitive analyses, analyse market and customer requirements, and create and implement action plans
• You contribute to product marketing through appropriate communication and marketing measures, as well as the creation of sales documents
• You actively expand our customer and partner network

Ihr Profil:

• You have a degree in physics, photonics, laser technology, electrical engineering or a similar field, preferably with a doctorate
• You have excellent knowledge of optical frequency combs, femtosecond lasers, nonlinear optics and stabilization electronics, ideally combined with several years of experience in product and/or project management
• You convince with your strong communication skills, flexibility, team spirit as well as a systematic and analytical way of thinking
• You enjoy business trips within Europe, as well as occasionally to destinations worldwide
• You have excellent English language skills, and preferably also speak German
