Full Stack Web Developer (m/f/d)

We at 5micron are doing measurements where most people do not reach. We are using minute shape disturbances on a wide range of materials to measure “invisible” parameters. Our Software algorithms are analyzing complex constellations of sensor inputs to run digital twins and monitoring systems in real time. Our results are well protected in the cloud and can be used from anywhere. Part of our end-to-end landscape are always our own web server applications to display, evaluate and store the results of our IoTs. This applies to our product lines as well as to our functional samples and prototypes, which mainly communicate with the environment via REST API

Ihr Aufgabengebiet:

The main tasks here are programming the frontend (web application) in JavaScript, the responsive, hierarchical layout of the pages with HTML and CSS, and programming the backend with PHP. Postman is used to test the backend.

Another important part is the maintenance of the PostgreSQL database, as well as the efficient modelling of the data structures, dependencies and the queries of the database. The tasks also include the installation of the server operating system (Ubuntu 20 Server), as well as the maintenance and configuration of the web server software lighttpd. Configuring the internal network infrastructure, creating subdomains and managing TLS certificates (with LetsEncrypt) as well.

Required skills / qualification

• Skills creative but result-oriented, self-reliant and team player, focused and communicative
• Education specialist programmer, computer scientist or web developer with passion
• Programming PHP, JavaScript, CSS/HTML, REST API
• Database programming (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Web server administration (e.g. lighttpd)
• Linux: Bash, systemd, ssh, vi, network manager
• Network knowledge (TCP/IP, domains, TLS, openssl)
• SW Tools Git, Postman
• Accompanying tools Confluence / Jira, MS Office, Ubuntu, Windows
• Languages Good German and English skills
