Brief Outline
At COMSOL, we develop mathematical modeling software that enables new breakthroughs in physics and engineering – and we love what we do. Our flagship product, COMSOL Multiphysics®, is used in all areas of engineering, manufacturing, and scientific research to model multiphysics systems. Our customers use the software to understand, predict, improve, and optimize product designs and processes.
Additionally, we help our users take simulation a big step further by providing them with the tools to create their own simulation apps based on their models, and then distribute them to employees both within and outside the simulation world.
In the field of optics and photonics, we offer dedicated add-on modules for our software that allow the simulation of optical systems and devices at both the ray optics level (Ray Tracing) and the electromagnetic field level (Maxwell's equations). A major advantage of using COMSOL Multiphysics is the ability to seamlessly incorporate physical interactions with thermal, mechanical, fluid, or acoustic effects in a single model, thus providing a more realistic representation of the real world.
